Hi I`m Emily and I`ve tutored English language and literature, as well as philosophy and RE for 3 years now. English has always been a passion of mine and I love teaching it to others, helping them to understand and appreciate different texts, books, and devices.

I gained A levels in English language, Textiles, and Philosophy and Ethics before studying at the University of Leeds and graduated in 2020 with a 2.1 BA and industrial year in fashion design (bit of a change I know!). When the pandemic hit I had to rethink things and found myself wanting to help people instead, which inevitably turned into tutoring, as well as working as a community carer with children and adults with SEN. I am experienced in a range of needs and can accommodate accordingly.

Tutoring English and RE for the past 3 years has been a dream come true. I`ve worked with so many lovely students and really felt like I`ve changed their outlook on the subjects. I love seeing their confidence soar and their faces light up when something suddenly clicks. I like to keep my lessons fun and engaging and make you feel like this is not just extra work because it can be fun trust me! No matter your struggles, I`d love to see where I can help.

Availability: I`m available monday - friday until 8pm. Please message me beforehand to confirm any times and dates as I have a lot of students and may not always be free. I am flexible however and am sure we can work something out.
