I am bilingual in German and English and also speak French.

I work as a language teacher in a London secondary school, teaching German and French. My students achieved great success in the new German GCSE with the AQA exam board. I also teach German A-Level students.

I specialise in tutoring German GCSE and have had extensive training by the AQA examination board. I know their mark scheme in great detail and can help students succeed in all four AQA papers (reading, writing, listening, speaking). I am also very familiar with the Edexcel i-GCSE - my last student achieved a Grade A in only one year of tuition.

I am a joyful person who loves languages, teaching and learning, and exploring different cultures. Languages have many enjoyable uses, from travel to work to excelling in exams, and I love helping others develop speaking and writing skills to meet their own unique goals. As a native German speaker I provide the highest level of accuracy and often add fun facts to build memory bridges for learning vocabulary.

Experience: Qualified secondary school teacher (PGCE) in Modern Foreign Languages, teaching French KS3, and German KS3-KS5. Teacher of GCSE and A-Level courses, familiar with current exam specs, marking criteria and exam preparation techniques.

10 years tutoring experience of German for children and adults, especially for pupils aiming at top results in German GCSE.

6 years at the German Saturday school teaching children age 4-8 through games, music and crafts.

5 years translation and transcri ption of research material, interviews, and thesis in German and English, for publication purposes.

Several years tutoring in conversational German for business and business German for adults working for German companies or with German teams.
