Information about Gemma
I am a passionate, dedicated and approachable English teacher with 15 years experience in secondary schools, including sixth form. Before having my children I was an Assistant Headteacher and before that, Head of the English Department. My teaching is student-centred and I am enthusiastic about building students` confidence and working with them to find ways to break down any barriers to their learning. From improving skills at Key Stage 2 right through to supporting with A Level, I can assure you that I will do my very best to help you in any way that I can.
Availability: Evenings Sunday-Thursday
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: 15 years experience teaching English at Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 in four different schools in Kent and West Sussex.
Also experienced with GCSE retake students and Functional Skills.
