Hello, I am Graham and I now offer online video tutoring through Zoom as well as in person tutoring. My Zoom sessions are as professional as my in person tutoring and not at all like some of the poor video tutoring that was reported by parents during the lockdowns.

I am a highly experienced maths lecturer and private tutor with experience in tutoring from year 5 up to Further Education. My students tell me I am an extremely patient, understanding teacher who explains things very clearly and simply and who makes them feel relaxed and confident.

Sessions with me are about helping students to learn how to improve, and together we would find out what their learning needs are. I do not do sessions where I lecture students about maths for an hour, instead I do sessions where I help my students to understand their areas of weakness and together we work on strategies for improvement, as well as ways to help build confidence and gradually create the belief that you CAN succeed at maths.

I also show students how to revise properly, how to improve recall of key facts and how to tackle exam papers.

My fee is based on the fact that I am very good at what I do and I don`t just turn up and deliver an `off the shelf` hour of tutoring. Each tutee is planned for individually and I resource each session depending on the needs of the learner. Mine is a high quality, very personalised and individual service which is tailored specifically to the tutee.

Experience: I have taught for 25 years but retired in April 2022 and during that time I have been a head of faculty, head of maths and a senior whole school, cross curricular numeracy manager. I have also previously worked in partnership with Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Warwick and Nottingham universities as a teacher training mentor and I have also supported each of the government`s teacher training schemes over a 20 year period as an in-school mentor and trainer.

For the last 4 years of my career, I lectured GCSE Maths re-sit students and Level 3 Mathematical Studies (Core Maths)
