I have 2 years of experience teaching Maths in an Outstanding school in Morley. All of my tutees have achieved more than their expected grades at GCSE.
Every session would be an intense work at exam questions to build confidence in answering them the way examiners would like. I have worked with several exam boards which allows me to deliver sessions that would be very beneficial to my student.
In my first session, I would often do a baseline assessment to see which topics are the weak points and then build the following sessions from there. I expect full dedication from my student in every session. There would be a piece of homework for them to complete for the following session. It would not be too lengthy as I understand their busy schedule from their school work. For key stage 3( year 7-9), an hour session would be fine however for Key stage 4( year 10-11) I recommend two hours per session.
