Jane

I am a friendly, enthusiastic experienced tutor with a first class degree in History from the University of Cambridge. I have an MPhil in Modern British History from the University of Cambridge and a PhD in History from the University of Manchester. I live in my home town of Liverpool.

I am passionate about both History and English and try to inspire my students as well as teach them the relevant knowledge. I firmly believe that tutoring should build confidence- I always aim to ensure students are encouraged and supported in their learning. I work with students to build lesson plans which prioritise exam technique and exam practice. I aim to tailor each lesson plan to meet the individual needs of the student. I thoroughly enjoy tutoring and always try to make it fun and interesting!

Availability: I am available weekday evenings and weekends.

Experience: I have been tutoring for over three years now and have gained experience in teaching History, English Language and English Literature from ages 10- 18. I have taught students of varying ability, and all have shown significant improvement in their overall capability.
