Callum

I am a recent English Literature graduate from Cardiff University, from where I attained a first class Honours Degree. The English language has always been a fascination of mine which I hope to share with others.

As part of my undergraduate study I lived in Hong Kong for one year, which complemented my passion for Asian culture. While there, I studied a number of languages such as Mandarin, Cantonese and Japanese. I still have an interest in all three but right now I`m focusing on Japanese, which is currently at an intermediate level.

As part of my lessons I would like to adopt a conversational style wherein both grammar and pronunciation may be refined, without maintaining too much of a rigorous atmosphere. Of course, should students have any particular areas they wish to work on, we can dedicate ourselves to those.

Availability: My timetable is relatively flexible and may be discussed with prospective students to find the best time for them.

Willing to travel: 3 miles

Experience: In the past I have taught and learned languages through a language partner system. Prior to going to Hong Kong I used this to supplement my Chinese studies while actively working with my partners to improve their English.
