Friendly and Enthusiastic Maths and English Tutor
I love learning! In my 1-1 work with students as an Academic Coach and Tutor I encourage them to be curious and ask questions to build on what they already know, to gain a depth of understanding. I want my students to benefit from the joy of grappling with a complex idea and then grasping it.
Maths and English can be daunting subjects, but that makes the reward of success all the greater. My approach combines gentleness with enthusiasm and challenge, engaging students to develop their confidence and their interest in the subject.
I work with students from year 4 to A level, and always consider the board specifications in planning. I set homework between sessions to consolidate the learning from the session.
I am currently giving all lessons online, due to demand. I do offer a free 1st lesson, so we can get to know each other.
