I am a qualified teacher who started teaching Maths in 1982 and became Head of the Maths Department in 1991. I have considerable experience of teaching and assessing school-age students and adults. I retired from Full Time teaching in schools in 2006 and have since been working as a self employed tutor mainly in Maths but also History in which I also have a degree. I have tutored a number of students through from KS3 to A Level with considerable success. Testimonials and references are available on request. I have also successfully supported students wishing to achieve a C grade at GCSE both in KS4 and Post-16 and students working to pass the Numeracy component of NQT training. I have experience and access to past papers for all main exam boards including IGCSE and keep up to date with changes in the relevant specifications. I prefer to visit students at their homes though am open to students visiting my home in agreed circumstances.
