I have a Joint Honours degree in History in Sociology from the University of Warwick. I have graduated from the same university with a Masters in History in 2015. Additionally, in the past six years I have gained a PGCE (teacher training) qualification from the University of East Anglia which has allowed me to teach History in a grammar school and two comprehensive secondary schools at KS3, GCSE an A Level. All of these experiences have enabled me to gain a thorough knowledge of teaching and various examination boards. In addition, I have been an AQA examiner for A Level History in the summer of 2019. I am very passionate about History and am always looking for new ways of making it enjoyable and accessible for all of my students. At the same time, Sociology, English and Russian have always fascinated me and I am always on the lookout for new information to expand my knowledge. In my sessions, I use a variety of methods ranging from discussions to close examination of exam technique. First KS3, I ensure that my lessons are engrossing, informative and lay the foundations of the topic before delving into exploring its complexities. The KS3 topics I have particularly extensive knowledge in include: Medieval period (especially England), Transatlantic Slave Trade and the British Empire, Tudors, Stuarts and the 20th Century. In the first sessions, I explore various methods of making the subjects accessible for my students and adopt an approach that is suitable for the individual.

Availability: I am very flexible during Monday-Friday and can also tutor at the weekends if necessary.
