Hi, I`m Tasneem!
I`m a first year university student, studying BSc Biochemistry but aside from my studies, I am enthusiastic and devoted to teacher younger children, having a firm belief that everyone can achieve their personal best, with the correct guide. My top subjects that I can teach engagingly well are GCSE Maths (Foundation), having received the highest grade possible in that level - a grade 5 and GCSE English Literature (having received a grade 7) and GCSE English Language (having received a Grade 8). I know that these subjects are the most important foundational pillars, amongst others, in raising all individual`s futures, and I hope I will be able to help you with this, to be able to progress onto your plans for the near future! Having completed my GCSE exams in 2023, I stayed on for 6th Form, where I took BTEC Applied Science (Biology, Chemistry and Physics), where I received a D*D in my 2025 A-level exams, so if needed, I can also offer BTEC Applied Science tuition. I can connect with all students in a positive manner and I will definitely make my lessons engaging as everyone has different ways of understanding. My classes will be tailored to be one-to-one but the teaching style will be adjusted to meet the needs of each individual student. To all parents, you can safely expect from each session that your child will be well-prepared with increased knowledge, understanding, resulting in a significant boost in confidence in whatever topic they are struggling in. Outside of my education, I am an incredibly acid reader, reading a wide variety of books that became a part of me from a young age.

Experience: I am a hardworking and diligent individual who can adapt to the settings that are provided to me and believe to do my very best in any challenges that I have to overcome. I have had first hand experience with customers and patients in various places and know how to manage situations to the the greatest ability. I have had work experience in two of the North East`s prime hospitals - the Royal Victoria Infirmary (RVI) and Freeman Hospitals, where I was able to communicate with patients on the ward, increasing my communication and confidence levels and also working well with my peers in the department, leading to strong teamwork - this experience has built skills that I will harness as a tutor as teamwork between myself and my students is vital in creating good success but also building the trust in me to which I can transfer my own understanding onto them. Communication is also essential as I want all my students to leave each lesson feeling they have more grasp on the subject and if they don`t/want more practice, they don`t need to hesitate to contact me - I will always be there for each individual.

I have work experience at a primary school where I communicated well with both students and staff to build a strong relationship between myself and them. I set up lessons and reading groups with the children, allowing me to adapt to the teaching classroom and enhance my organisational skills. The skills I built here will be very important for when I tutor as I was able to cater different learning styles with students and was able to use unique ways so that they understood key concepts, that weren`t always clear the first time. Being organised is crucial for a tutor to have and I believe I presented myself as organisational while working in the school. It will be up to my individual students to let me know before the lesson what it is that they are struggling with so that I can plan out the appropriate resources for them. I will use variety of resources from, for example in English Literature/Language: just talking about the topic, to planning and then writing the essay itself.
