Information about Norma
I am a passionate Arabic and MFL teacher keen on helping individuals kickstart or improve Modern Standard Arabic, Egyptian Arabic and Levantine Arabic (Syria and Lebanon).
I also teach Spanish and German to secondary school students from years 7 to 10.
I adapt to the style and level of each one of my students, trying to make the class as engaging as possible.
I have a Certificate in Teaching Arabic as a Foreigner Language from The American University in Cairo.
I use my own curriculum as well as other industry-standard books as Kallemni Arabi for Egyptian Arabic or Al-Kitaab for MSA.
I am also a CELTA qualified teacher for students who are learning English as a foreign language.

Experience: I have been a qualified Teacher of Spanish and German in London between 2021 and 2024. I taught Arabic full-time for 6 years in a language institute in Egypt. This gave me experience in one-to-one settings to both children or adults and to large groups. In the UK, I have been tutoring individuals for the last 3 years.

Norma is a very engaging tutor. She has been tutoring our 4 yr old son and he looks forward to his next lesson with a lot of enthusiasm. Norma understands his linguistic needs and is very adaptive in her approach to teaching him so that he is fully engaiged for the entirety of his one hour lesson. We highly recommend her as a tutor.
