Information about Philip
I have an excellent record of effective tutoring.I have taught in all types of school.
My hobby is tennis and I have played at county level for Suffolk and Kent.
As I tutor A level maths,I am particularly good at mathematical aspects of chemistry such as mole calculations, equilibrium constants, rates of reaction and titrations.
Unlike most other tutors i have a three year teaching certificate as well as subject qualifications.
Likewise I am proficient in mathematical aspects of physics such as statics, dynamics, laws of current flow, atomic physics and electrostatics.
When I have taken one sibling, parents nearly always choose me for the younger sibling when he/she reaches the examination stage.
Besides tutoring A level I have experience in taking students through the International Baccalaureate. This differs somewhat from A level maths in putting more emphasis on vectors, matrices and the use of integrating factors in calculus.
During the corona crisis I am willing to do postal tuition.Having taken an honours degree with the Open University I know this can be effective.Once I know your requirements,I send relevant questions to complete. The questions will be partly from previous papers and partly of my own design, according to your needs. When you return them ,I will mark with full comment and send you a complete work out of the questions.I charge just £22 for this type of tuition.I can tutor students from anywhere in Great Britain or abroad with this model.
I have had articles published in Editions 1 and 4 of Volume 32 and Edition 1 Volume 41 ,on statistical analysis of field work experiments,in the Health Education Journal.
I provide a model answer to every question in recent maths A level papers for EDEX,OCR,AQA.Note that mark schemes available on computer do not give a model answer. They are simply for guidance to markers on how many marks to award.

Given my sons confidence back .
Phillip clearly loves physics and my son has found his lessons really useful.
Tutors Response :
Thanks for that.it is really helpful to me.I was very pleased in the last session that Reece was able to do a problem on projectiles without any hints. He also seems to be confident with electricity problems.
I am chirpy today as my home team Norwich,The Canaries, has increased the lead at the top of the Championship.
Philip is very patient with me and he is very calming in his approach to teaching. I would highly recommend him to anyone that needs to study Chemistry. As a mature student, Philip has made me feel very relaxed and ensures that I understand what I am learning in a way that suits me!
Philip is accommodating and appears thorough. My son has gained confidence through his patient guidance. Will know how effective the extra tuition has been come GCSE result day in August!
