Hey there! I`m Louise, a 23-year-old trainee secondary English teacher based in Bebington on the Wirral.

Before I began my training, I worked as an academic mentor in the same English department where I currently work delivering. targeted intervention sessions.

I have a First Class degree in English Language and making headway through my MA in English Language and Linguistics. I have experience working with children with SEND and will always adapt materials to suit the needs of my students. I try to embed creativity and nurture a love of English wherever I can in my lessons and understand the key skills that students need to learn for success in the subject.

Whilst my degree is in English Language, I am familiar and comfortable with all aspects of the KS3 national curriculum and have taught a variety of literature topics such as Shakespeare, Poetry, Creative and Transactional writing. Last year I completed a course to further my literature subject knowledge.

At KS4 I am mostly familiar with the AQA GCSE specification, with some experience in Eduqas as well.

I am BRSP trained and have also had a lot of experience with reading intervention in schools.

When I`m not in work, you`ll find me trying my luck with my weekly pub quiz team and spending time with my family.

Availability: I am currently available on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings. However, I am willing to discuss flexibility.

Experience: I am currently completing the final placement on my teacher training at the same school I have worked at for two years now. I have a range of experience teaching KS3,4 and 5 and have also completed experience days in KS2. I am fully aware and comfortable with the National Curriculum and the AQA GCSE Specification.
