Fresh off the boat from Bordeaux, I bring with me a strong command of the French language. I am a qualified teacher of English and French, with over thirteen years of full-time teaching experience. Most of my teaching has been face-to-face, but I am also well versed in online teaching.

I taught English as a first language, and French as a foreign language, at senior school level, but for four years have been living in France, where I have been teaching English full time, as a second language.

I have a gift for building self-confidence in students and am empathetic and patient in empowering them to achieve their personal goals. My aim is to foster a belief that anything is possible, that we all have gifts, and that we need to develop the skills to use them to the fullest.

I am passionate about teaching writing skills and am dedicated to promoting and developing the power of using the right word in any given context, and the mastery of grammar for skilful delivery of argument.

I am equally committed to the spoken word. I myself am a strong public speaker and enjoy teaching this skill in particular.

When I am not teaching, my fingers are flying across a computer keyboard, writing popular fiction.

I am adventurous and inquisitive and enjoy discovering new ways of looking at the world and encouraging young people to decide what they believe in and why, where they are going and how.
