Information about Danielle
I am a single lady with two adult girls who no longer live at home. I am bi-lingual in English and French with family in Belgium and the south of France. I love animals and own a border collie and a cat, neither of which are scary, but who know their place, especially when I m teaching!
Availability: I teach in a local school on Mondays and Tuesdays, therefore I would normally be free from Wednesday to Friday.
I am unable to travel for the next six weeks, at least, because I have just had an operation on my foot, preventing me from driving.
Ideally, I would be available to start tutoring as from mid-March.
Willing to travel: Home Only
Experience: I am a fully qualified teacher: BA English, French, History Cert Ed.
I have extensive teaching experience from upper senior level to early years. I have taught French and English for several years in a senior school in Walthamstow (Aveling Park) and for fourteen years I have taught in a local independent primary school in Woodford. During that time I taught years 4 and 5, for whom I was in charge of numeracy and literacy, and I was in charge of French, teaching all the children in the schoo aged 3-11. For the past three years I have worked part-time in the same independent primary school, teaching French to all the pupils, and I have been involved in giving pupils extra tuition in preparation for 11+ Entrance exams. I have taught advanced French conversation and beginners Spanish to adults, and I have tutored young people French for 13+ Common Entrance, GCSE, IB and A Level; English and Maths 11+ Entrance exam preparation.
I have achieved good to excellent in school inspections - OFSTED and ISI
