Information about Lise

Salut! My name is Lise, I am 28 and I live near Aylesbury (Bucks).
I am a qualified French teacher as well as a native speaker and I currently work in a local secondary school.
I am offering French beginner lessons (writing, reading and speaking, listening) to advanced conversation classes.
I am a very approachable, caring and friendly individual and make a point of always having good relationships with my tutees to make sure they enjoy the time we spend together learning French.

Availability: I am available every weekday after work from 5pm and usually work from home but I am happy to travel within a 3 mile radius, at an extra cost.

Willing to travel: 3 miles

Experience: I am qualified French teacher since I completed my PGCE with the University of St Mark and St John in Plymouth in 2014 and my NQT in the school where I am currently employed as a French teacher.
I have also been tutoring students and adult learners in French for the past 6 years and they all have been very pleased with the outcomes of their lessons.

I want to make my lessons very lively and authentic by using films, newspapers, books extracts, pieces of music to support the lessons and illustrate the French culture.
Teaching a language is not just about learning vocabulary and conjugating verbs by heart, but it is also about understanding how to use it and in what context.

The lessons are very flexible and depend on my tutees` wishes and what they want to improve (e.g. if they prefer me to focus my teaching on pronunciation, then we will have a specially designed lesson).
I always bear in mind the curriculum as well as the requirements of the exam boards when tutoring and I regularly use past papers in order to prepare the students for the exams.

I also have experience as a GCSE examiner and am able to give clear guidance and good practice to all my pupils sitting their GCSE or A-Level exams.

Finally, I am more than happy to support them with their homework or to mark anything they want me to.
