I am a mature, experienced teacher of English who offers personalised tuition in both language and literature, face-to face and online.

I graduated from Aberdeen University with a Master of Arts degree in the late `70s, coming later to teaching via careers in the Military, retail administration and garden design.

I re-trained as a teacher of secondary English at Strathclyde University in 2005-6, completing my PGDE with Distinction.

I really enjoy working with young people and have some experience of Additional Support Needs.

The most rewarding aspect of personal tuition is when the penny drops for a student and they suddenly understand something they had previously struggled with. The `Eureka Moment`, I call it.

I hope that, whatever your particular `challenge` is with English, we can find that Eureka Moment!

Availability: I have recently located to Burghead in Moray. I am available for a limited number of lessons. I may be able to travel to your home.
