I am a Secondary Maths teacher and a tutor with over 20 years experience in secondary schools. My role is to guide, help pupils understand maths. Thus increasing students abilities and inspires confidence to learn. I specialise in foundation, higher and functional skill (including retakes at college).

I tailored each students tutoring plan to their needs, learning style and pace. I believe the learning environment is essential to achieve a good outcome. Whether, that be in results or confidence of the individual. I create a supportive and encouraging environment, thus allowing pupils to engage and ask question about the topics and concepts we will cover.

I keep up to date with education pedagogy. Thus allowing me to pull on vast amount of experience and concepts for that student.

I tailor my tutoring to meet the requirements of the individual I am tutoring, this involves breaking down topics into bite size pieces to help gain understanding and recall of mathematical topics. My main aim is to allow the individual to progress, develop and grow in confidence. A personalised learning plan will be made to help us reach our goals.
