Information about Hannah
I am a recent First-Class History graduate from the University of Nottingham, willing to tutor History or English. A-Levels: A* in English Literature, A* in Art, A in History, and 10 A*-B grade GCSEs. I am currently training to teach English as a foreign language abroad! Open to working with any age group.
I enjoy painting, reading, going to the gym, and spending time with my 11-year-old Labrador!
Availability: Most days of the week and weekends - super flexible

Experience: WORK EXPERIENCE
- Student Ambassador at the University of Nottingham - experience working with young people aged 6-18, giving tours of the University and educating people on the benefits of higher education (2021-Present).
- Experience writing blog posts and newsletters for the children`s entertainment company Snow Princess Parties, strengthening and maintaining my writing skills (2019-2022).
- Waitress, Barista, Receptionist and Bar Work at Country Skittles, Hayle, where I learnt to hone my communication and customer service skills (2017-2019).
VOLUNTEERING EXPERIENCE
- I have led several sessions with another student in a local secondary school, teaching Year 9 students Black British History. Our aim was to encourage students to observe history from overlooked perspectives. They responded well to these sessions, contributing enthusiastically and freely.
- Participated in the History in Schools volunteering programme in 2020, teaching primary school students about the Vikings.
- Peer mentor from 2020-2021, supporting first-year students at the University of Nottingham academically and personally.
- Part of the Aspire Programme, the highest achieving bracket of Year 12 (2017-18).
- Post 16 Student Ambassador and part of the Student Leadership Team (2018-19).
- History tutor to a small group of Year 9 students at Helston Community College (2019).
