I am an extremely competent, friendly and personable recent Cambridge graduate in Geography, with an excellent academic record and a wide variety of skills and interests. I have experience teaching all age groups in a wide range of settings and environments, from one on one lessons to managing large group classes. I have excellent people skills, and am academically flexible having undertaken Maths and Physics A levels and continuing these skills throughout my degree, as well as developing excellent essay and critical thinking skills through both degree and my Art Foundation course.

Experience: I was employed for 2 weeks at Oohzora High School on Yakushima Island in Japan as a full time English teaching Assistant. This involved preparing for and taking part in lessons, as well as organising and taking part in outings and activities. The school was for students who had not been able to graduate high school, and therefore involved teaching a wide range of ages and abilities. I have also had experience teaching one-on-one conversation classes in an immersive environment at an english school in Okayama prefecture, also for a period of 2 weeks. My most recent teaching experience was during a 4 week full time CELTA qualification for teaching English as a second Language. This course involved independent planning and teaching of lessons to learners of ages from 18 upwards from elementary to intermediate level, with lessons every other day.

This allowed me to gain highly developed skills in classroom management techniques, lesson planning and material creation. I have also performed regular English tutoring for clients whilst in Japan, including tutoring for university level assignments, helping students to improve their grades and successfully apply to various study abroad and government sponsored schemes.
