Information about Franziska
I have worked in education for more than 15 years both as a teacher, then later as a tutor. I have taught KS3, KS4 and KS5 History, Geography, Sociology and Humanities in some of the most challenging schools across London. My previous role as Head of PSHE was a good basis for becoming a tutor- I use my pastoral skills to help students access the more difficult work and attain goals they did not think possible. Passing exams is not only about knowledge, it`s also about exam technique and the ability to retain information- and most importantly- critically analysing a question. Although I aim to make my lessons consistently interesting for my students they will be consistently led towards success at the end of Y11.
Availability: Monday- Friday 9am-7pm online.
Willing to travel: 1 miles
Experience: I am a former History teacher and Head of Personal Social Health Education who has experience engaging even the most challenging students. After I left full-time teaching I became an SEN tutor for many years. More recent projects include designing Sierra Leones first ever History curriculum and a PSHE curriculum for NGO`s. I have over 15 years experience in teaching and pastoral care and know what is required for students to succeed in KS3, KS4 and KS5. I have perfected efficient and effective methods for revision and exam technique. My previous long-standing experience in education as both a teacher and a tutor means I am in a unique position to ensure that students work aligns closely with what is expected of them and their targets are not only achievable, but able to be exceeded.
