I started teaching while I was still at university, mainly giving English lessons to foreign students struggling with their essays. After I graduated from the University of Greenwich with a 1st class BA(Hons) English with Drama, I gained employment on the prestigious BT graduate scheme, where I stayed for four years. Having decided that the corporate life wasn`t for me, I worked in schools all over Britain, taking drama workshops. I subsequently became a freelance personal tutor and a creative writing teacher for adult learners.

I have now accumulated almost ten years experience. I have taught children as young as six, and a classroom of adults where the oldest was in her seventies. Consequently I`m very flexible when it comes to the needs of the individual.

The services I offer include -

- English language, all ages and abilities up to GCSE level
- English literature, all ages and abilities up to degree level
- English as a foreign language
- History, all ages and abilities up to A-level
- Creative Writing, with particular reference to writing for the stage
- Exam technique for all of the above

If the distance is suitable, I travel to the student`s home for lessons, which are usually an hour long, and I charge between £23 and £30. I also take students in my house. I`m available from 9am to 7pm on weekdays and weekends.
