Information about Mathilde
Hello everyone!
I`m Mathilde, I`m a French native speaker and I have been a French private tutor since 2017. I have had the privilege to help a lot of students with their French exams (KS3,GCSE (AQA, Pearson Edexcel), A-level) and to teach French to children and to adults (from all ages).
If your child/children need(s) help to prepare for their French tests (speaking, writing, reading, grammar, comprehension) or find French hard to learn, I will be very happy to help.
We will use some books that cover all the topics that they will learn in class, we will practice these topics by doing exercises and working on the pronunciation. We will also listen to some French recordings related to the topics that they are working on in class to get familiar with the pronunciation and use some past exam papers covering all the topics that they are doing in class focusing on writing, listening, reading and speaking.
Furthermore, I have also been pleased to pass on my knowledge of French to those who wanted to know more about the language, about the customs, so they could feel more confident when travelling to France or to a French-speaking country. Indeed, I have provided them with all the help that I could give them to achieve their goals. Learning French might take a lot of time, but with some dedication and good methods, it will be easier and funnier.

Mathilde is an amazing tutor and I would have never got a grade 9 in my French GCSE without her help. She was always happy to answer my questions (and I had quite a few), marked my work frequently and was such a great confidence booster, something you definitely need when hoping to succeed in foreign languages. The pace of the lessons and what she chose to focus on was also well planned and very relevant. I never felt intimidated or discouraged as she was always happy to go over the things that I didn’t understand. Even on the odd occasion when there were issues with technology she made sure to add that time onto the lesson so that I never missed out. I simply cannot recommend Mathilde enough as it was such a good tutoring experience.
