I am a friendly and enthusiastic English Tutor who is passionate about helping students to fall in love with English and enabling them to reach their full potential. I believe that every pupil can succeed when they are taught by someone that they have a positive relationship with and when their lessons are tailored to their needs. If you book lessons with me, I will ensure that our tutorials move at the pace that is right for you and that we work towards the targets that you most want to reach. I am flexible about how I teach and will adapt my methods to suit each individual student. I firmly believe that no questions are silly; so, whatever your question, whatever the gaps in your knowledge are, I am here to help you become more confident!

Availability: I am available Monday to Thursday 6.00-21.00 and Friday 6.00-17.00.

Experience: I hold a First-Class Honours English BA from University College London. My degree enabled me to study a wide variety of literature, from the medieval period to the present. It gives me great pleasure as a tutor to utilise this extensive literary knowledge in helping students to understand texts and develop confidence in writing critically, creatively, and concisely about them. I have taught in a London secondary school for a term, before deciding to become a tutor full-time. I found that what I loved about teaching the most was building strong relationships with pupils and being able to adapt my teaching to suit them, which I could not do as fully in a class of thirty as I can as a tutor. I have therefore been tutoring full-time since March 2022 and have delivered over a hundred hours of tutorials since then. I tutor English Language and English Literature at KS3 and KS4, and English Literature A-Level. I have particularly good knowledge of the AQA syllabus for these qualifications, though I have some familiarity with other exam boards too. I have tutored students individually and in small groups of up to three pupils. I only offer online tutorials.
