I regard myself as a very patient, good-humoured and friendly teacher. At the same time, I feel I have the experience and expertise to identify students` difficulties and use a great variety of strategies to enable them to develop their skills in English. I am constantly developing my own skills in computer technology and this enables me to bring variety and clear focus to my lesson stategies.

I have a wide range of interests. I still manage to play a decent standard of five a side football and also play tennis and badminton. I love hiking and I work as an usher in the theatre once a week. I run the chess club at my present school.

Availability: Most evenings of the week from 5.30 to 9pm plus weekends.

Experience: I have taught English in Secondary Schools for over twenty years. I have worked in a great variety of schools in Brighton, Hull, London and Leeds and currently have a permanent part-time post (60% English timetable)in Harrogate in North Yorkshire. I spent two stimulating years in the mid-nineties teaching English in a rural school in Zambia.
