Hi there, I’m Cosmo. I’m currently on my Gap Year and am applying to read English at Oxford. I can tutor English and History of Art for students up to the age of eighteen. In my A-levels last Summer, I achieved straight A*s in English, History of Art, and Classical Civilisation. I’ve been fascinated with the Arts in general since a young age, and I find that the best way to gain a higher understanding of a subject is through guided conversation, whether that be in analysing a poem or dissecting a painting.

Experience: I have worked with a Common Entrance student over the last few years. When I asked her for some feedback/criticism, she suggested that my teaching was ‘faultless’ and that I ‘really helped her’. Whether or not that’s true, I’ll strive to ensure that you/your child receives my best and fullest attention, and that I will try to cater for each individual student, since all students learn differently; in doing this, I hope to help bring out your potential.

In my last year at school, I was House Captain and a Prefect. This shows that I have experience working with a diverse range of younger people and that I know how to at least try to bring out the best of others. Besides this, I often helped some younger pupils with work (English Coursework, essays, Personal Statements, etc.).
