Maths graduate from the University of Bath and Certificate of Education.

I am passionate about Maths and get a kick out of seeing pupils `get it`. I believe in teaching `why` not just `what` - because when a pupil understands why something works they don`t forget. I am patient and good-humoured and methodical in trying to find out where pupils are getting stuck.

Experience: Corsham Comprehensive Secondary School (1985-89). Taught from age 11-18 including GCSE and A level. Also Head of IT for the School. I also helped many pupils during those years with private tuition.

I then worked in IT until 2018, only teaching my children and latterly grandchildren.

Since I retired from Commerce, I have started teaching privately again. It wasn`t the easiest thing to do during lockdown but even so, both of my pupils did well and one has moved from being very unsure about maths to starting A level in September 2021 - and discovered a real passion for the subject.
