I am a science teacher, specialising in chemistry.
I have been teaching for over 10 years and head of chemistry for the last 2 years as well.

Charlotte has been tutoring our son in GSCE Combined Science (Pearson Edexcel) for about 10 weeks so far, as his predicted grades for the 2022 exams were below national average and he just was not “getting” it. He is a 15 year old boy so expressing any form of academic enthusiasm is near impossible however he always leaves the tutoring sessions in a positive mood, commenting “yeah, I get that now”, the proof being recent GCSE mocks when he got an overall grade 6 in Combined Science. Our experience is that the tutoring from Charlotte has reinforced the subject matter and brought him up to speed on areas he struggled with, but it has also given him the confidence to apply it in exams.
