DBS-checked and fully insured, I`m a virtual assistant who is branching into tuition services. I have a BA (Hons) degree in English Literature and Language, and a deep love of literature, language and writing. Modern takes on the English language fascinate me, as language evolves with every generation. I`m not above consulting the `Urban Dictionary` website for insights! However, the correct use of the English language (and grammatical rules) is something I`m exacting about, especially as I offer copywriting and proofreading services in my VA capacity. I also value the importance of Plain English; language needs to be clear and functional in some situations. There`s a time for poetry, and there`s a time for training manuals. I am equally at home with both!

Experience: Educated to Degree level, BA (Hons) in English Literature and Language.

Over twenty years experience in business administration and marketing (legal, property and medical sectors), recenty leaving employment at the University of Leeds to pursue a freelance career.

Within my corporate roles, I`ve deputised as departmental trainer, trained my own assistants, and created Plain English training manuals and digital guides, helping colleagues to better navigate in-house systems.

I have previous co-owned a Limited company (fashion and lifestyle), with my main focus being marketing, brand development and copywriting.

I`ve continued to upskill over the years, most recently taking accredited SEO and WordPress courses.

I`m already well-versed with Squarespace for website building, and I`m a confident user of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat (PDFS), Abode Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator, and Canva.

I can create training materials in a variety of formats, and enjoy discovering new apps and programs.
