Annette

Hi,

My name is Annette and I am 35 years old. I have a BSc in Human Biology from Loughborough University and an MSc in Genetics of Human Disease from UCL. I completed my PhD at UCL in 2017 which was also genetics focused. I studied Maths, Biology, Chemistry, French and Spanish at A level and got As in all 5 subjects. I am offering tutoring in Biology, Chemistry and Maths at GCSE and A level.

I am extremely passionate about biology but I also have a love for all science. My teaching style is flexible and creative and I believe understanding how an individual learns is paramount to helping a student retain information and fundamentally enjoy a subject.

My approach is to cover a topic in depth and then reinforce what has been learnt with short tests and eventually past paper questions.

Availability: I am primarily free during key hours on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday but can also do Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.

Willing to travel: Home Only

Experience: I have tutored students for biology A level as well as maths.

During my PhD I proof read several theses of other students.

I currently teach piano to several preschool and primary aged children.

I believe my experience to date has taught me to be personable, relatable, have a high patience threshold and an ability to communicate effectively.
