I worked for 24years in management before retraining as a teacher in my 40`s so know the importance of numerical skills in the workplace and the importance of achieving a good grade in maths. However I also understand that many students find this subject difficult. I love working with young people and am patient, encouraging, friendly and supportive.

Availability: Recently retired so flexible in availability.

Experience: 18 years teaching GCSE maths at Higher level regularly achieving A and A* grades for top students. Experience of teaching new 9 to 1 syllabus and examining AQA papers. Also have been Head of a Year and have wide experience of working with a wide range of students.
Have tutored over 20 students since retiring and still get a buzz hearing they have got their desired grades. Pleased to report that this has continued in 2023 with 4 students achieving a level 5 on the foundation paper and one a level 6 on the higher paper.
