Information about Cameron

Overview:
-I tutor Maths and Physics at GCSE and A-level, and am looking to take on some new students as we approach the end of this academic year.
- I have just completed the second year of a physics Msci degree at UCL, and have been tutoring online alongside my studies since the beginning of the course.

Lesson Structure:
- I conduct my lessons online, usually via Microsoft Teams, but I am also comfortable with other platforms if requested.
- I begin the lessons with a discussion of the theory of the requested topic (which I ask the students to send over a few days ahead of our next session). We then move on to some simple examples and practice questions, before finishing with some more challenging questions.
- The exact split between theory and practice depends largely on the subject being taught - for example, GCSE maths tends to be mostly about practice, whereas A-level physics often requires longer discussions of the theory.
- I am always careful to try and match the lesson pace to the student. Some topics take longer to digest and therefore should have more time spent on them, whereas other areas can be moved through more quickly.

Please feel free to get in touch if you would like to discuss lessons further.

Thanks, Cameron.

Availability: Due to other time commitments and my studies etc, my availability is currently best in the evenings and on weekends, although I do try to be flexible and accommodate changes in schedule.

Willing to travel: 5 miles

Experience: -For the duration of the 2022/23 academic year, I have been tutoring several students in GCSE maths and physics, as well as A-level physics.
-Throughout the 2021/22 academic year I tutored a student in GCSE Maths, English and Science alongside my own studies, and we saw her grades increase by 3 levels in maths and science, and 2 levels in English (comparing year 10 mocks to final results).
-Before this, I taught KS2&3 maths to my younger siblings as part of their home schooling.

Cameron has been great for helping my son with gcse maths and physics. He is clear and concise when explaining and my son enjoyed the lessons with Cameron and said that they really helped him in his exams not just with knowledge but confidence as well
