Information about Olive
Hello all!
My name is Olive : a current SEN (Special Educational Needs) and literacy/English specialist teacher trainee, who has experience in tutoring a wide range of ages and abilities. Over the years, I have worked as a tutor both privately and within an exemplary tuition centre in London. Through these experiences, I have been able to develop various teaching strategies which have benefitted my students and enabled them to grasp difficult concepts. I work on the premise that every child is different and is therefore deserving of an individualised teaching approach. I endeavour to maintain a positive and light atmosphere within my sessions, where progress (whatever the size) is continually recognised and rewarded.
I thoroughly enjoy working with young people and have done so via different capacities since I was a teenager myself. I have the ability to resonate and build a strong rapport with them which has enabled me to succeed in obtaining desirable results.
If provided with the opportunity, I would work consistently hard with you and your child; enabling them to succeed and reach their full potential.
Availability: Weekends and some week evenings (flexible according to the students needs and availability).
Willing to travel: 8 miles
Experience: I have worked within a tuition centre where I supported our members in their learning and run extra specialised workshops;
Currently employed as a Teaching Assistant within a SEN school, where I provide support to the class teacher and students and if required, cover lessons;
Privately tutored primary school children (school years ranging 3-6) in Maths and English and have noted a remarkable improvement in their areas of weakness.
