Super fun focused experienced primary teacher

Hello potential students!

My name is Katherine, but I prefer Kat. I am an experienced primary school teacher with a love of learning. I have a lot of experience with teaching in different year groups and situations.

I am very enthusiastic about making sure every child feels like they are achieving and progressing.
A good working partnership is important in order for the student to progress. I have a organised but friendly teaching style and I like to try and make my lessons fun and accessible.

Additionally after getting to know a student, I then tailor a lesson to suit their needs. This would happen within the first session, where I gently assess needs and any gaps in their learning.
I am confident to teach any subject up to KS3. I have taught online before and throughout the pandemic. I have also tutored online and face to face. So I understand the process and how to make it run smoothly.
I have got experience with SEND learners and children with a specific learning need. I have some experience with dyslexia learners too.

I have experience with settling and helping pupils with anxiety or ones that are prone to be nervous in unknown situations.

I love reading, Maths and science and I am very passionate about them.

My favourite animal is a dog and I love going on walks.

Availability: I am available from 5pm Week days
and available 9-1pm on weekends
