An English teacher with 15 years of teaching experience in secondary schools. I have also marked for AQA, WJEC and Edexcel. I have recently worked at a secondary school in Surrey. In the current climate, I have decided to become a full-time online tutor. I currently teach online but can travel to students` homes once lockdown is over.

My specialism for A level is Literature and I teach Language and Literature GCSE. I also have experiences and resources relating to the new specification for a range of exam boards.

I believe that young people need to start preparing for the GCSE specification as soon as possible. It is an extremely difficult course and, when tutoring, I coach students to revisit reading for pleasure, grammar skills and application of study skills across the curriculum.

Availability: Flexible hours available. Lessons are one hour in person and online on Zoom or any other platform you prefer. I am happy to teach individuals and groups of up to 5 pupils. Please do contact me if you have any other needs.

I have attended Dyslexia courses at Helen Arkell and the British Dyslexia Association. I am currently working towards Dyslexia Specialist qualification.
