Hi there! I am Marie and I`m a London-based writer.
I`ve graduated from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. I have tutored other fellow actors with their Dutch and I work part-time as a singing teacher.
My work connects me with a lot of different cultures, levels and people which allows me to invest differently in every single individual and listen to their ambitions & stories.
I`ve worked with several techniques. One of them is the EVT technique which I`ve now learned to master. This technique makes me work more efficiently and most importantly, it makes me a more confident singer. The EVT technique is mostly shared between musical performers but it`s also used by opera singers. The human vocal system is extremely complex, involving interactions between breath flow, moving structures, resonators and so on. Estill Voice Training draws on a branch of applied mathematics known as dynamical systems theory that helps to describe complex systems.
I work a lot with imaginary which is supported by the EVT technique. Visualising vocal exercises works very efficiently, especially for children.

Experience: I am teaching my friend occasionally Dutch and I teach singing lessons in Amsterdam as well as in London.

Marie is an excellent teacher, has a very kind and patient approach and is very thorough and professional in her teaching methods. She is well organised and is happy to set homework (and extra work) if required. I would reccomend Marie to anyone looking for a Dutch tutor!

I have had several lessons with Marie, although I have been studying Dutch for a while.
Marie has given me a considered, tailored approach to my Dutch studies after discussing what my ultimate language aims were, in my first lesson.
Marie has been especially helpful with placing focus on the reading, speaking and listening aspects of Dutch. Furthermore, Marie has been able to send me resources and homework on request to allow me to work on my Dutch in between lessons.
Marie has also been understanding in helping me find convenient time slots for my lessons, which has been very useful for when I have been busy with work.
If you are considering taking Dutch lessons, I would strongly recommend Marie as a tutor, based on my own personal experience.
