I have an MA in Geography Education from UCL and a Geography BSc (Hons) degree from the University of Durham. I have 6 years of successful tutoring experience. I am an experienced Head of Geography in a secondary school and I currently teach at key stage 3, GCSE and A-level. I have tutoring experience up to university level. I am also an examiner for one of the largest examination boards in the country.

I have a sound knowledge of both human and physical geography and I am confident in my ability to help students in achieving top examination grades. I have taught across a wide range of exam specifications and therefore I have good understanding of what examiners are looking for in outstanding answers. I aim to help students to progress in their subject knowledge as well as their study skills and their ability to apply their understanding to exam questions. I enjoy working with tutees of all abilities who are committed to securing the best possible future for themselves. I have a passion for my subject and I hope to pass on my enthusiasm for Geography to my tutees. Having achieved ten A*s at GCSE level and a place at one of the UK`s leading universities, I know how to succeed at exams and I enjoy the challenge of teaching others to do the same. I am a friendly and approachable individual and I believe that learning should be an enjoyable experience! Outside of the classroom my interests include a range of sporting activities including tennis, hockey and rowing.

I aim to teach all tutees to achieve the best possible grades that they can get. As each tutee will have individual strengths and weaknesses, it is important to me that I work alongside the tutee and that I adapt my teaching style to their particular needs whether this involves working through exam papers to perfect planning, structuring and answering of exam style questions, or breaking down curriculum concepts to develop more detailed understanding.

Availability: During term time and some holidays, I am available weekday late afternoon/evenings.
