Information about Katie

I teach Modern Languages at a secondary school in Birmingham, having studied French and German at the University of Cambridge.

I am currently on the Senior Leadership Team at my school and have worked as a Head of Modern Languages, so I have a good understanding of both the demands of learning languages in school, but also the wider demands facing students from KS3 to KS5.

I am very passionate about language learning, and I think that everyone has the potential to speak a different language well - even if it can feel hard at first!

I would be happy to tutor any students seeking support in French at any stage - GCSE or A-Level, and would also be happy to offer tutoring in German.

Availability: I work full time as a teacher so I will be available outside of school hours, I am based in the south of Birmingham, in the Moseley and Kings Heath area.

Willing to travel: 3 miles

Experience: I have been a languages teacher for 8 years. I teach French and Spanish, but my two main languages are French and German as I studied both at university.

Excellent tutor. The children really like her and enjoy their lessons with her. She is very reliable, kind, patient, good at explaining and makes lessons fun. We are very pleased to have found her.

Katie is an excellent tutor and very patient with my limited German skills. Lessons are great fun and I`ve improved a huge amount in a short space of time.
