Information about Ian
Previously accounting and statistics senior tutor at a leading London training company, with teaching experience for both undergraduate, postgraduate and professional examinations in both higher and further education settings. Currently lecturer in accounting at University of Exeter Business School where I am module lead in Year 1 Statistics and Management Accounting.
Currently, I`m supporting learners at: A-level; and AAT levels 2 & 3 with bookkeeping and financial and management accounting. I also support Year 1 undergraduate students in financial and management accounting - whether they`re on a specialist accounting and finance programme, or on a general business management, where they`re stuck with having to pass an accounting module in which they have little interest.
I also like to help learners who were in denial about being `OK` with accounting when sitting exams first time around, and now are under significant pressure facing a resit exam in order to continue.
And finally, I like to help able students who, for whatever reason, can`t `get` accounting, and maybe for them, poor results are affecting their self confidence, not only in accounting but in other papers also. If you`re one of these, then I totally understand because I was once like you.
If you`ve gotten this far and are interested, ping me a message, and let me know your availability (weekdays and weekends, mornings/afternoons/evenings) and I`ll book out a free slot where we can chat, find out the problem(s) and see if there is some rapport. I find the key to success with these online sessions is rapport: if this can be established, then `Get accounting done` is an easy game.
Blessings on your journey.
