My name is Emily and I`m a qualified science teacher who has been working with secondary students for over 6 years.

My specialism is Biology up to A-level, however, I also have experience of teaching GCSE Chemistry and teach all sciences at KS3.

My teaching strategies are based on current research-backed cognitive science and I will always tailor my teaching styles to the individual student`s needs and learning goals.

I am looking to tutor GCSE and A level Biology students. Given the contact time missed in schools, this is an excellent opportunity to have extra support from a subject expert. I am now offering online lessons to maximise learning whilst keeping safe.

Availability: Due to the change in circumstances, I am able to be incredibly flexible with my availability.

Experience: I have over 6 years of experience working with young people and have been a fully qualified teacher at an Outstanding school for over 4 years. At GCSE, I have experience teaching both separate science and combined science Biology with a range of prior attainment levels. I`ve supported many students achieve top A level Biology grades across both AQA and OCR specifications.

I studied at the prestigious Russel Group University of Warwick for my undergraduate Biological sciences degree, achieving a 2.1. I then have worked as a teaching assistant where I worked in small group or 1:1 settings. I completed a schools direct program for my PGCE to become a Biology Science teacher.
