Qualified teacher of biology, chemistry and especially physics. Experienced in teaching both separate sciences and combined science to foundation and higher level. I use the recommendations from the Learning Scientists and encourage students to use the strategies that are the most effective.
I studied for my first degree while working part time and raising my family. I obtained a 2:1 in physics from the Open University and then went on the study my PGCE at the the University of Exeter. Since then I have been teaching GCSE science, and physics, to GCSE level. I encourage students to practice regular knowledge retrieval so that lessons can be used to develop their higher level skills enabling students to achieve higher scores and exam grades.
