Experience: 6 years as an English Tutor, but over 40 years in Education as a teacher.
I started out as a PE teacher in 1981 and taught in the UK and the multi-cultural environments of Kuwait, Singapore and Bahrain. I am passionate about working with many cultures and can certainly bring this knowledge to the students I teach. I left school teaching after 18 years, as a Deputy Headteacher in 1999, having been invited to join the corporate world in the area of training and development
I have taught the whole range of subjects in the primary phase and have particular niches with English, Technology, Maths and Physical Education. At Secondary level have particular strengths in KS3 in English, History and PE and GCSE English, History and PE.
I became an author when my first book was published in 2011 called, “Inspiration Creates Aspiration” (which is a guide to help develop inspirational teachers and trainers). The title reflects what I feel is my mission in life. It also shows that if I can write a book anyone can!
I have also been lucky enough to still play professional tennis on the ITF circuit and I am still coaching players of all ages and levels in the UK. The sports arena is full of positive and determined people and physical development works in tandem with developing minds. I would be delighted to nurture sporting opportunities for children as I have seen lives turned around with raw sporting prowess.

I believe I can help all students in some way as I have often worked as a mentor and coach
