I am a Solihull based Biology tutor. I have been teaching in Higher Education for over years and am currently a Lecturer in Biosciences at a local university and hold an SFHEA title. I specialize in working with students who find the subject difficult, helping them to identify their personal learning style and empowering them to understand complex concepts.

Availability: Evenings and weekends work for regular appointments. One off/ extra sessions can be arranged with more flexibility.

Experience: I am a Lecturer in Biosciences; this involves designing and preparing teaching material and assessments, giving lectures, overseeing practicals and providing small group and 1-1 tutorial sessions for students. I have extensive experience with younger age groups also where I designed and lead a summer course helping to prepare disadvantaged students for their studies at University. I have always been interested in Science and was inspired by my A Level Biology teacher to pursue a career in this area. I would like to do the same for others. In 2015, I was awarded a Papin Prize by the UK higher Education Technician Summit for my contribution to teaching. I hold the title of SFHEA, reflecting my level of teaching experience.
