I am a professional saxophonist and composer offering friendly, relaxed saxophone lessons in Bristol for beginner-intermediate level players of all ages.

As a versatile player I can offer tailored lessons to your needs and tastes, incorporating various musical styles. I believe that learning to play a musical instrument should be a fun and engaging experience, and practice doesn`t have to be a chore.

I can travel to you or you are welcome to come to my home (Clifton) for the lesson.
I give a 50% discount on first lessons.

Availability: My main teaching day is Wednesday (all day), however I am flexible if this does not suit.

Willing to travel: 10 miles

Experience: I first started learning saxophone at the age of 10. I gained my BMus (Hons) from the University of Edinburgh in 2013 and went on to gain my MA in Composing for Film and Television from Bristol University in 2015.

I perform regularly with various groups of differing genres and am signed to RareNoiseRecords.
My performance history includes jazz, blues, free improv, salsa, booglaloo, swing, trad jazz, funk, RnB, and lots more..!

I have experience teaching both adults and children.

I have toured internationally, playing extensively in Europe (UK, France, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Austria, Croatia, Poland) and recently in China. Festival appearances include the Berlin Jazz Festival, OCT-Loft Jazz Festival (Shenzhen), Match and Fuse (London) and White Noise/Black Silence (Munich).

Featured in the New York Jazz Record`s Best Albums of 2015, Jazz Journal`s Best Albums of 2015/7 (with Free Nelson Mandoomjazz).
