I am a secondary school Science teacher with a degree in Physics and a PGCE in Secondary Science Education. I have been a qualified teacher for 13 years, spending two of these as a head of department, and have experience teaching and tutoring students with a wide range of abilities.

I have also undertaken a subject-specialism course in Secondary Maths Education and have in-depth knowledge of both the science and maths curriculums at KS3/4 due to working for an educational publishing company for two years.

Availability: My usual working days/times are Wednesday and Thursday 10:00-20:00, Friday 10:00-18:00 and Sunday 10:00-16:00. I also work Bank Holidays and through the school holidays if required. For overseas students, I can work around these hours to accommodate different time zones.

ONLINE AVAILABILITY ONLY

I am currently only able to offer online sessions via Zoom, Skype or Teams. I use a range of techniques and resources to ensure I deliver sessions that are as good as if they were in person.

CANCELLATIONS

I charge a 50% cancellation fee for any sessions that are cancelled with less than 24 hours notice. The fee can be waived if the session is rescheduled within 2 days of the original slot.

Experience: I have experience teaching the National Curriculum for all three sciences, including physics up to A-level, and I am qualified to teach maths at KS3 and GCSE.

I have undertaken work for two education publishing companies, Quizlet and Learning by Questions, creating science and maths resources for KS3/KS4. I am also an experienced GCSE Physics Examiner for Edexcel and have been tutoring science and maths for over 10 years.
