Hi there! My name is Ash and I am experienced personal tutor specialising in History A Level and GCSE. I am well qualified to tutor students of any level or ability from GCSE, A Level or degree level in the subject of History. Through tailored one on one sessions online or in person I will seek to identify the strengths and weaknesses of students knowledge and exam technique and address the issues in a positive and friendly environment.

I actively encourage questions and debate during the sessions to ensure that students engage with the subject matter and above all enjoy the experience of learning in this personal setting.

I graduated from the University of Manchester having studied an MA degree in History and before that I attended the University of Leicester studying a BA History and American Studies degree. During my BA degree I also completed a years study at the University of Alabama in the United States of America. As you can imagine I specialise in American history but through my university studies I have completed modules on a broad range of subjects from medieval history to the British Empire. At A Level I also achieved an A* in History alongside a further 2 A`s.

Availability: Currently I am only offering online sessions during the week but I am happy to be as flexible as possible to accommodate the schedule of the students.

Experience: For the last few years I have been a personal tutor for A Level History students supporting them through all aspects of their studies. My former students have always achieved the grades they wanted ranging from Bs to A*s and some have gone on to study history at university.
