I am a qualified teacher and exam board marker, with over 25 years of teaching experience of A Level Physics. I offer Online tuition with the first trial lesson half price. I have been a professional tutor for the last 3 years with hundreds of hours tuition experience. Previously I spent the last 19 years of my teaching career teaching at one of the top performing state school in the South West of England based in Keynsham, for the last 5 years my role was Lead teacher for science. My particular strength is preparing students for A level and GCSE exams. I have a calm and patient manner with students and believe in making explanations as simple as possible.
As well as teaching I am an experience exam board marker at both GCSE and A level. Giving me a special insight into what exam boards expect in an answer which I aim to pass on in my tutoring.
I am based in Longwell Green and normally happy to tutor in the Keynsham / Saltford / Longwell Green / Hanham/ Emerson`s Green/ Winterbourne areas as well as considering areas further afield. I also offer online tuition. I offer a discount to students who come to me however due to COVID-19 virus I can only undertaking Online tuition until further notice.

Experience: 25 years’ experience of teaching Physics across the 11-18 age range and across a wide range of abilities from students with special educational needs right through to preparing students for Oxbridge interviews. I have taught KS3 Science, GCSE Physics and A level physics. I have experience in tutoring OCR, AQA EDEXCEL and WJEC exam boards. As well as tutoring IGCSE.
Exam technique is an essential part of my tutoring philosophy so as well as understanding the physics we will focus on how to answer exam questions. I offer Personalised one to one tuition. Either in the home or via the internet. I discuss with each student individually what their particular aims are before commencing lessons. I will tailor the tutoring session to your needs each week be that a particular topic or preparing for a test.
