Jessica

I am a highly experienced Teacher of English with over 5 years experience in secondary education. I was the Assistant Subject Leader of English at a large comprehensive school in Hampshire for three years and have been teaching GCSE English for a total of 6 years. I am a qualified TEFL teacher and taught abroad in Spain for a year as well as teaching EAL students in Birmingham for two years before completing my PGCE and embarking on my career as an English teacher. I am dedicated to making learning fun and I work very hard to ensure that all of my students make progress rapidly. This summer, one of my tutees achieved a grade 9 in English Literature having worked her way up from a grade 4. I am determined that all of my students exceed their own expectations and endeavor to help all of my tutees to grow in confidence.
I tutor students in preparation for their 11+ examinations, KS3 students looking to boost their confidence and KS4 students looking to secure a grade 4 and above in GCSE English Language and Literature. I also tutor EAL students looking to improve their conversational English.

Availability: Every evening apart from Sunday.

Experience: I have been a qualified teacher for 6 years now. Before completing my PGCE, I gained a degree in English Literature and Creative writing. I have taught English as a foreign language for 8 years and English at KS3 and KS4 level for 5 years. My specialty is AQA GCSE examination preparation.
