Information about Rizyar
My name is Rizyar and I am 19 years old from Coventry and currently studying in Birmingham. I would describe myself as a hardworking, enthusiastic individual who will put in 110% effort into any task that has been assigned to me. As a current student in university studying law, I am excellent with working both alone and with others to ensure we fulfil an objective within a certain time and with excellence. I furthermore pride myself on a friendly and approachable persona. Also, due to the nature of my degree, I am used to working in a challenging and fast paced environment, particularly when dealing with many priorities and projects at the same time. This has sharpened both my time management and organisation skills.
Availability: I am free Monday-Friday whether it be morning afternoon or evening.
Willing to travel: 3 miles
Experience: The experience I have with teaching and acting as a role model for young children is my role as a prefect at my secondary school in which I had the responsibility of maintaining a high standard of good behaviour to provide a positive role model for others and was involved in assisting both staff and pupils. During my first year of university, I took on voluntary experience in an all boys secondary school on my day off in the week . I was assigned to a pupil over a period of three months with the objective to improve his reading and writing and I believe to have achieved this by the end. I had built a strong relationship with this pupil who appeared shy and anxious at first but was soon able to read an entire passage to me with confidence. Another job role I took on was volunteering at Summer Field Stables in Birmingham. During this, I would interact and speak to children with special needs as a getaway from their difficulty to read and write. This was a really eye opening experience as I gained a deeper insight into the difficulties some children face academically and throughout it I learned techniques and strategies in order to understand and help them the best way that I could.
A more personal experience is that I am an older sister of three siblings and therefore have a lot of homework to help with. I will sit with my siblings and make sure they fully understand the topic and what is being asked of them as opposed to just telling them what to do/ write as I want to ensure they are learning something from the homework and not just regurgitating information they have learned from the lesson.
